Philadelphia,(30th Jan 2010) : National Football League broadcaster, Former Philadelphia Eagle Tom Brookshier died last night. Tom Brookshier died late Friday night in suburban Philadelphia in his home. He was suffering with cancer. He was 78.
Tom Brookshier, was a member of Philadelphia’s 1960 NFL championship club. After his retirement as a player, Brookshier joined in media as a TV Broadcaster for NFL.
The sports world has lost a Legend. May his soul rest in peace. RIP – Tom Brookshier

Being from Philly, “Brookie” was a legend in our town. He went from football to television at a time when it was unheard of for a sports figure to be a sportscaster on tv.
He also was instrumental in starting sports talk radio in Philly – WIP.
He will be missed. RIP Brookie.
